Lights and Shades at an Exhibition - Free music by Francesco Zanellato

free audio download: www.jamendo.com/list/a120846

THE SOUNDTRACK
The music is inspired by “Shadows in the Mirror” a fractal art video by Lilia Morales y Mori.
The video is based on different “environments”, or pictures, separated by a repeated picture as an “intermezzo”.
So, the structural idea of the music consists of different brief musical pictures, like at an exhibition, separated by a “promenade”.
The structure and the title of the music is consciously inspired by Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition”, but music is entirely original.
Melodies are performed using an ethnic ensemble: Flute, Low Whistle, Pan Flute, Ethnic Drums, Drum Set, Triangle, Violin, Solo Female Voice, Female Choir.
List of episodes:
Promenade
“African eyes”
Promenade
“Blue dancers”
Promenade
“Violet twins”
“Fractal girl”
Promenade
“Beaty and the violin”
“African eyes”
Promenade
“Mist skin”
“Egyptian tale”
“Blue dancers”
Promenade (tutti)
THE COVER
The cover of “Lights and Shades at an Exhibition” is made with Gimp, an open-source image manipulation software.

End Titles Of A Rock Dream

Deep, in the night, come the fearful,

The new fractal art video by Lilia Morales y Mori, on the music “End Titles of a Rock Dream” is available here:

Here are my thoughts about the video.
She’s looking through the night at the sleeping beauty in the red moonlight.
Is the little girl afraid of dreaming?
The mirror explodes in fragments that show the thunderstorming colours of the city.
Through the smoke, all the memories begin to fade.
I think I remember a parade of cubes in the streets of London.
Then, dummies in a shop window…
I can feel the vibration of the sleeping city, if I listen carefully.
Rock music is coming from a distant night club: the notes are burning in my veins this night.
I keep moving. Here, some jazz music… There, some disco music…
Dancing in the crowd, I believe I’m not alone.
But sometimes I feel trapped in a jail. A dummy in a shop window.
The nightly rhythm increases…
Now I’m sitting in a pub, drinking something without taste; the glass reflects a distorted reality.
Perhaps I’m not here. Perhaps I’m still lying on the floor, only a candle is lighting my bedroom.
But the music keeps playing and my friends make me feel alive.
No, I’m definitely not alone, whether this is a dream or not.

Have fun!

LANDING ON VEGA - Free Music by Francesco Zanellato - The soundtrack of "Evolution: the future"

You can download the music for free at:
http://www.jamendo.com/en/list/a117122/landing-on-vega
The music is inspired by “Evolution: the future”, a book by Marco Santini and the relevant video by Lilia Morales y Mori. You can watch the video here:

THE SOUNDTRACK

The music consists of a simple monothematic piece, to be listened while watching at the video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0jwpqsONFy4
Ethereal beginning, harp glissando as a transition to the piano  accompaniment.
Two snares ensemble parts, for “generation of Adamo” and  “funeral rites” of Martin.
The chorus is the community.
Final mysterious part, with abrupt end, to create suspence: want more?
Read Marco Santini’s free books: “The Alpha Centaury Project” and “Evolution: the future”.
“Evolution: the future” is available for free download at:

THE MAKING OF “LANDING ON VEGA”

I got the idea  for the title, when I received an e-mail from a collaegue of mine,  with subject “Arrival on Vega”, so I came up with “Vega 31″, a  mining offshore platform on a remote planet.

THE COVER

The cover of “Landing on Vega” is made with Blender, an open-source 3D animation software.

The orchestral score of “Landing on Vega” is available for free at:
